  • What is Reserve with Google?
  • When should I not work with Reserve with Google?

When should I not work with Reserve with Google?

Booking via Reserve with Google is very simple. You can only make regular reservations experience, without additional information or guarantees. This ensures that extra functionalities that are enabled in your Resengo cannot be copied in Reserve with Google. Just think of Table types, zone choices, advances and so on.

Below is a list of functionalities that are not supported by Reserve with Google:

Menu choices or other specific questions in your reservation flow

Confirm/reconfirm reservations

Messages shown during booking, in the confirmation email and/or reminder email

Have reservations come in on request.

Waiting List

Cancellation limit

Squeeze

credit card guarantee

Payment of advances

Zone selection and/or table type selection

Leave comments from your guests when booking

Request more personal data when making a reservation than just name, email and phone number

Overlapping time slots. For example: Brunch and lunch overlapping.

Allow groups of more than 8 people to book online.

With Reserve with Google you can reserve up to 60 days in advance

Reserve with Google retrieves your availability only once a day. So times that become available last minute will no longer be available on Reserve with Google unless the next day. As a result, you risk missing out on last minute reservations.

Caution

Since Reserve with Google synchronizes your availability and settings only once a day, changes made to your service on the same day may not be reflected in Reserve with Google. Think of closing an arrival time or an entire service.

Tip

Do you have one of the above settings and therefore can't work with Reserve with google? Then put the instead reservation link that redirects directly to your Resengo widget on your Google page.

I have also been activated by another party for Reserve with Google, what can I do about that?

Reserve with Google can be for the same restaurant by different providers are activated at the same time;
This may have been requested by you consciously, but also unconsciously. Regrettably enough, there is little control by Google on the whether a provider is actually the right party to provide the data for Reserve with Google. Once the reservation provider approved by Google, it can claim any restaurant on Google.

In any case, it is best that you only leave your times through Resengo offer because that way you are sure that it is always the right times that your reservations are processed correctly and that you certainly don't have to pay cover costs for reservations that enter through this channel.

You cannot currently remove providers from your Google Business Profile. We expect Google to provide this capability will offer soon but at the moment you still have to focus to the provider who put this online.

Click on the relevant logo below to send an email to the relevant party with google in CC.

The Fork/Seatme/Iens

This is how you find out whether you have also been activated by other providers:

  1. Type your restaurant's name into Google.
  2. See your company details on the right side of the screen, a button Reserve table?
If this button is not there, you can Activate Reserve with Google yourself in your back office
  3. If the button is there, click it. On the following screen you see on the left the logo of the party(ies) that Book with Google activated for you. Is there another logo besides the Resengo logo? Then this party has also activated you.
