How does the link work with Mews?

The link between Mews & Resengo ensures that the restaurant reservations those linked to your reservations in Mews, appear in your Resengo. These reservations also contain additional information about the hotel guest (room number, additional information from Mews). Adjustments or cancellations of reservations in Mews, are immediately implemented on the reservation in Resengo. |
In your Resengo table plan and with the reservation in Resengo additional information will be added to the synced reservations from Mews. je will see the table number as well as additional information that you will receive when booking in Mews was standing.
The link between Mews and Resengo works on the basis of Bookable services in mews. These are services that can be booked with an overnight stay where can also attach a date, time and number of people. This bookable services are for example a breakfast, a dinner, a candle light dinner, and so on. On activation, you link these bookable services to your timeslots in Resengo. For the link to work properly, it is important that the bookable services are correctly set in Mews and that they are correctly linked with the type time slots and restaurants in Resengo.
Example:
A hotel has a restaurant where hotel guests can also book breakfast or dinner. Via Mews you have created various bookable services for these restaurant reservations. In Resengo you have two time slots for this, a Breakfast and a Dinner. Link these bookable services in Mews to your Timeslots in Resengo via Your Resengo.
Important information
- The sync doesn't take into account availability in your Resengo. All Mews reservations will be placed in your Resengo regardless of whether there are seats is or not. Mews does not take into account limits or availabilities in your Resengo.
- The link is a one-way sync from Mews to Resengo. This means that all additions, adjustments and cancellations of reservations in Mews can always be applied in your Resengo as well. But that additions, adjustments and cancellations of reservations in your Resengo will not be made applied in Mews.
- With every new reservation added via Mews in Resengo, a customer file has been created in your Resengo system. So you further expand your customer base.
- When you add a reservation in Resengo and select a customer card created from Mews will automatically retrieve the guest's current room number en be placed in the Resengo reservation.
- Group reservations in Mews are linked in Resengo. For example, when a company books two rooms at two different persons then these two persons will appear in Resengo under the group name as one reservation of two people. In this way, groups are becoming put together in your restaurant(s).
- The link is instant. If a reservation is made added, changed or canceled in Mews, it will go directly to your Resengo justly. You can also perform manual syncs from the home screen of your Resengo by clicking the Mews button.

How do I activate the link with Mews?
Activating the link between Mews and Resengo is very simple. Walk through next steps:
- Activate the link in Mews via this link.
- Activation in Resengo is done through Resengo Support. Click here to create a help desk ticket and ask for activation.
- Resengo support now activates the link. Once this happens you will receive a message via your helpdesk.
- After activation, you will still determine the settings. See below.
How do I adjust the settings of my Mews link?
You can adjust the settings of your Mews link via Resengo Support. Do especially after the link is active!
- Download all guest profiles with an pending hotel reservation from Mews to Resengo = If you set this to YES, a customer card will be added to your customer list in Resengo with every new reservation that is imported from Mews.
- Number of months ahead for restaurant reservations to be downloaded from Mews to Resengo = How much you want reservations to be transferred in advance from Mews to Resengo. This will prevent reservations from being synced far in the future become.
- Send the communication regarding restaurant reservations also to reservations downloaded from Mews = This determines whether Resengo's standard e-mails (confirmation, reminder, feedback, ...) are also sent to the reservations belonging to Mews imported.
- Timeslot Type - Mews Product = Choose Timeslot Type and link it to the correct Mews reservation product. You can have multiple Mews link products to one Timeslot by creating additional records.
