What does the Terms & Privacy module exactly?

This module ensures that you, as a controller, have the necessary documents with regard to GDPR/AGV. As a processor, Resengo is fully in order for GDPR. However, Resengo offers assistance with your duties as a data controller. In order to provide and update the necessary documents, we developed the Terms & Privacy module.

With this we ensure that the three documents that you, as the controller, need to take care of be and remain in order with regard to the data you collect and process via Resengo. Resengo provides the necessary legal texts and ensures that they evolve with any new guidelines or based on certain cases that arise at certain customers. In this way, the knowledge and experience of more than 2000 cases shared with you.

Troubleshooting

Deprives the Terms & Privacy module you of your responsibility regarding the GDPR?

No. Resengo only relieves you for the GDPR-related part has on the data that you process with Resengo and partners. In addition, this module also offers a template for Terms and Conditions which you can activate for your guests when booking. On this way you also have the legally correct texts for that and you have an extra trump card against no-shows. According to the GDPR, anyone who collects data is a controller. As a company, you are responsible for the data you collect and you must ensure that this data is processed securely. The fines related to GDPR can be up to 4% of your annual revenue. You are the owner and therefore also the controller of all data that you collect through Resengo. Resengo is single a processor. As a controller you have three obligations.

  1. Create appropriate privacy terms and have them accepted when customers register. These conditions must comply with certain rules. You can don't just ask for any data, you have to be able to explain why you are requesting which data.
  2. Create a data register. In there describe all the data you collect as well as the measures you find to protect it.
  3. Conclude a processor agreement with all companies that you entrust data to for processing. You enter into an agreement with all companies whose systems used to hold data and all companies who have access to your data.

These three documents must be dynamic. You serve them to adjust if something changes

  • To the data you collect.
  • The security measures you take.
  • On a technical level, the systems you use (e.g. there other cookies are used).

The work and the responsibility don't stop at the one time creating documents. If you cannot provide these documents and keep it up-to-date, you can use Resengo's GDPR module. You pay a one-time fee of €89 for this.

I also sometimes process my data outside Resengo, do I have to? Then work out separate privacy conditions and data registers?

No, you can simply update the Resengo module. We take care for the generation of paragraphs related to Resengo to have. You can add your own paragraphs yourself if that is needed. That way you have a central management of your requirements.

What is the alternative if I don't want to use it of the GDPR module?

We have made sure that your clientele must tick that they accept your privacy terms when they provide personal data fill in your reservation module. Do you work with the GDPR module then these are the privacy conditions automatically generated for you.
