The settings
Activation of your ResQueue is done through Resengo Support. Click here to create a help desk ticket and ask for activation.
After activation, we activate ResQueue for the services you choose:
- Go to
> Restaurant > Opening hours (series) or in the renewed admin
> Tables > Opening hours (series).
-
Edit the series where you would like to work wit ResQueue
If you would like to activate only for a few services, go to your calendar and change 1 service. - You will now see these settings after you cross yes:
- Complete the remaining settings depending on how you want to work with ResQueue for these service(s).
Caution
To work with ResQueue you must allow tables to be booked multiple times in 1 service. So multiple shifts must be activated for the service where you want to work with ResQueue.
The different settings
The queue starts at |
You can set here when the queue becomes active and thus you can place reservations in the queue. For example:
|
Arrive within |
Enter the number of minutes within which the guests must be present as soon as they receive notification that there is a place. |
Cancel after |
Here you decide after how many minutes the reservation is cancelled after the guests have received notification that there is a table available for them. Once the reservation status is set to at table, it cannot be cancelled. Queue reservations are only canceled this way if there are other reservations in the queue. |
|
Choose here whether you allow your guests to register online for the queue via your widget. |
|
If you want your guests to know which table they are assigned to, cross this. The table number will be displayed to them through their status link. |
|
Check this if you would like ResQueue to move customers from the queue automatically. Check this off if you want to do this manually. |
QR codes
QR code for enrolling in the queue
In your restaurant, you have the option to display a QR code that allows your guests to subscribe to the queue by scanning it.
You can find the QR code at > Restaurant > Time slot type or
> Tables > Opening hours (series) then to category. Click on the QR code and then on Make a reservation for the current or next time slot.
In principle, your guests don't have to physically pass by your restaurant to sign up for the queue. This can also be done online via your Reservation Widget.
QR code for checking in on a table
You can also place a QR code on your tables with which guests can check-in.
You can find this QR code via > Tables > Table Settings. There you will see a QR code next to each table. Download the QR code by clicking on it and place them on the right tables in your restaurant.
Now the guest can check-in and check-out through scanning the QR code. When arriving the guest scans the QR code to set their Resengo status to At the table. When leaving they scan the QR code to set their status in Resengo to Left.
Personalizing the SMS messages
You can personlize the text messages from ResQueue:
- Go to
> General > Messages or
> Company > Messages
- Search for Queue.
-
Edit the messages.
Different scenarios and their settings
My guests scan a qr code to register and I guide them to their table upon arrival. This way, you have a nice mix of personal guidance for your guests and the autonomy that will ensure that you save time. This is perfect for a medium-sized restaurant.
First we set the settings in Resengo.
Next we print the QR code to subscribe to the queue and place it in the restaurant:
|
I keep everything under control. I register the guests myself, I move them from the queue and place them at the table. You can keep full control over your queue. If you have a smaller restaurant and someone who takes care of the reservations during the service, this is a good way of working for you.
First we set the settings in Resengo.
|
I don't want to do anything myself. Everything happens automatically from registering to being seated to leaving. If you have a quick turnaround and a large number of place settings, this method is ideal! You save a lot of time and you let ResQueue take over your work. Ideal for larger restaurants.
First we set the settings in Resengo.
Next we're going to print the QR code for queue registration and place it in the restaurant:
Finally, we print the QR code for each table and place it on the table.
