The first step in using ResQueue is registration. Each customer has to register with their phone number. This is great because this adds to your customer base!
Your guests will receive a text message after registering on the waiting list. In the text message, they will get an estimated arrival time at which they can get a table, as well as a link where they can follow up on the status of their position in the queue.
You have two options for queuing your guests:
- You can register them.
- They can register themselves via a QR code or your reservation widget.
Registering your guest
You can do this by making a reservation and selecting in the queue for arrival time. You can choose the first hour to place them directly in the queue, or choose a later hour to have the guest queue later.
Letting guests register themselves via a QR code or in your reservation widget
Guests can also register themselves on the waiting list. This can be done by scanning a QR code or online via your reservation widget. So in principle, your guests do not have to physically pass by your restaurant to register for the queue.
While signing up for the queue, the customer will also be informed about the fact that they are signing up for the queue and how exactly this works.
The QR code can be found via > Restaurant > Type or
> Tables > Opening hours (series) and then category. There, you can click on the QR code and then on Make a reservation for the current or next time slot.
